Welcome!
I am a qualified therapeutic counsellor and registered member of the BACP (British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy) working in Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire. I am trained as a person-centered counsellor, which means that I serve as your guide while allowing you to be in charge of your own journey. This method taps into your natural self-healing process and offers an understanding approach that is non-judgmental and friendly.
Feeling overwhelm or anxiety can be debilitating and managing trauma is exhausting. Talking to someone who is not a personal friend or family member who cares about what's happening to you and understands how past events affect the present is the start of bringing about change. It takes courage to ask for help but you've already managed the hard part: acknowledging that you might benefit from support.
I have experience working with a broad range of issues including abuse, anxiety, attachment issues, bereavement, bullying, depression, loneliness, low self-confidence, low self-esteem, mental health issues, relationships, self-harm and suicidal thoughts.
These kinds of experiences create responses in the mind and body which can be incredibly confusing, destructive and upsetting; being aware of what happens physically and mentally helps many people find some understanding so that they can change their own behaviour responses and find peace. Counselling offers space and time to talk, reflect and explore you and you alone. It can be beneficial in lots of ways...
I offer a free 30-minute assessment online or by phone call. During this initial consultation I can gain an understanding of your needs so that I am confident that I will be able to offer you the right support moving forward. You will also have the opportunity, of course, to decide if I am the right person to help you.
I offer counselling sessions throughout the week to adults, in person and remotely via Zoom or telephone. Session times will be agreed at assessment and I can support you through both long and short term counselling. Finally, despite my exotic name I'm afraid I don't speak Polish!
I am an inclusive counsellor, which means I work with everyone, including clients that are neuro-diverse, sexuality and gender diverse or from different racial backgrounds.
Drop me an email using the contact from below and we can work the next part out together.
Fees are £50 per 50 minute session.

The cost of a counselling session is £50 per session.
A typical counselling session lasts for 50 minutes.
Our work is completely confidential in line with the BACP ethical framework. This means that whatever we talk about stays between ourselves. However, it also means that that if I felt you were a danger to yourself or another person, or a UK law had /or was going to be broken I would, in conversation with you where possible, bring it to the attention of the correct authorities to seek support for you directly.
This is a difficult one to answer as it is different for everyone. It would be usual to start with the intention of having at least six sessions to start with and to see where it takes you. Ideally we work towards an 'ending' together which can take a couple of weeks but it is such a personal journey it is difficult to be specific about time. Ultimately you are in control of what you want to achieve so it is not possible for me to stipulate how long we should work together.
Nobody can 'click' with everyone and that's just fine. If you find that I'm not the right therapist for you then I can try to support you in finding someone that is or we can leave it as you so wish. The therapeutic relationship is key to your personal growth so it is of paramount importance that you find the right therapist for you.
Person-centred counselling is one of the humanistic modalities or approaches. It was founded in the 1940s by the American psychologist Carl Rogers who believed that, given the right conditions, a person can reach their full potential and become their true self, which he termed ‘self-actualisation’. This actualisation process is within us and so anyone can achieve it.
To help you achieve self-actualisation, the person-centred therapist will offer:
When you’re attending counselling sessions with me, I will encourage you to bring your own issues to the session – the counselling is led by you, my role is to work alongside you, not to direct what you should bring. Many clients, with no previous experience of counselling, believe that I will sort their problems out for them, person-centred therapy doesn't work like that. I, as a person-centred counsellor, believe that you are the expert in your own life, I will help you to explore your own issues, feelings, beliefs and behaviour, coming from your perspective on life, so you can become more self-aware and so able to make the changes in your life that you are looking for.
